Addictively Fun App Extends Consumer Engagement with an Iconic Event
The much-downloaded app is fun and popular—it received news coverage on television and in print. We were invited to launch releases of it three years, and counting.
When you’re a retailer internationally renowned for your festive holiday celebrations, what can you do to make a public event really special … something to delight consumers and get them interacting with your brand, even if they are not at the event?
Tying in with the retailer’s brand, we created Android and iPhone apps that leverage augmented reality: they allow a user to import his or her photo into a festive frame, then use the device’s camera to superimpose the augmented image on a background photo, and share the results through Facebook and Twitter.
