THE CHALLENGE:
One of the world’s pre-eminent sports leagues came to WebINTENSIVE for help maintaining and expanding their fully custom content management system (CMS).
This CMS handles many millions of pieces of content, in multiple types and languages, with different content available on different teams’ sites and in different markets. Large amounts of content must be served instantly by the league’s cluster of 100 load-balanced servers.
OUR APPROACH:
We began by sitting down with different members of the league’s IT team—no one person knew the whole system!— and building a complete description of the system, which we documented for ourselves.
This documentation let us bring new team members up to speed quickly.
