WebINTENSIVE Client Finds: Doctors Mixed on EMR Benefits

Wednesday, January 19, 2011

Seventy-six percent of doctors say electronic medical records (EMR) will have a positive or neutral effect on patient care, according to a recent survey by WebINTENSIVE client HCPlexus, the publishers of The Little Blue Book, and Thomson Reuters.

Of the 2,958 U.S. physicians surveyed, 39 percent say that EMRs will help patients; 37 percent expect EMRs will have a neutral effect, and only 24 percent believe EMRs will negatively impact healthcare. However, some survey participants cited concerns over patients’ privacy.

WebINTENSIVE is the developer of the mobile app version (for iPhone and BlackBerry) of HCPlexus’s The Little Blue Book, the premier physicians’ referral reference.

New York-based WebINTENSIVE provides custom software, mobile apps, system integration, and hosting configuration for leading organizations in the U.S. and globally.
